Abstract

The display stud uses the flexible nature of nylon or plastics to provide a shape that both grips the product and also retains it on its display pad or card. The system greatly improves both practically and visually on the use of pins, staples or sewing. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Universal display stud The invention is a simple method of fixing a manufactured item on to a presentation pad or card. The invention consists of a plastic or nylon stud with a number of protrusions shaped in such a way that they grip the item to be displayed. It has the advantage of gripping the item either horizontally, vertically or any other angle to suit the item. This method of fixing improves on other methods whereby the displayed item is sewn ori to a pad or card by hand, or fixed on to a card or pad with an "office stapeller" or allowed to tumble loose in a bag. Being flexible and separate from the card or pad, the stud may be used more than once, e.g. for retail display.
1. I claim that the universal display stud provides a neat easy method of attaching a manufactured product to a display pad or card in such a way that the manufactured product and the stud can be removed after sale and re-used on other sizes of display pad or card if so required.
2. Protection is required against any item doing the same job but musing different shapes for (a) the backing plate of the stud (b) the flexible posts rising from the backing plate, or (c) the quantity of flexible posts used to grip the displayed item.

The invention consists of a plastic or nylon stud with a number of protrusions shaped in such a way that they grip the item to be displayed.
