Boxes for enclosing articles having parts extending out through box drying and like agents, specially designed for; fitting, external and internal.-A case or container for the head only of a tooth-brush or shaving-brush of ordinary construction is provided with openings or slots of relatively large area for ventilating purposes and for facilitating the rapid drying of the bristles and also with means for receiving an antiseptic. A case for a tooth-brush is shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the openings or slots G, g<1> being formed in the body A and hinged lid B which carries a spring clip b to bear against the head of the brush and hold it firmly in position. A slot D displaced relatively to the centre line of the case accommodates the handle of the brush and allows the head to be positioned on its side within the case. The antiseptic in the form of a germicide pastil F or a pad containing a disinfecting medium is located between the end of the case and a flange a struck up from the material thereof. The case may be provided with suspension means E and with a recess or flanged portion for receiving a ticket to which the owner's name or an indicating mark is applied. A case for a shaving-brush is shown in Fig. 7, the head being accommodated within the two semi-cylindrical parts I, slotted at M and hinged together longitudinally, the two parts being fastened together by a spring tongue or clip. The antiseptic is fixed at the closed end of the case and spring arms k carry semi-circular clips K which engage the head of the brush below the bristles. The case may have accommodation for a quantity of solid tooth-paste or shaving soap which may also serve as the antiseptic medium.
