Abstract

204,657. Butler, T. A., and Line, A. J. May 5, 1923. Syringes.-A toy in the form of an article of jewellery, such as a slave-bangle, is provided with a reservoir for scent, which is drawn in or expelled as desired by the operation of a piston in the reservoir. The reservoir 8 is placed in the bangle casing 6 and is held in place by a flexible connection 16 with the nozzle f9, through which the scent is drawn in or expelled by the operation of a knob 12 attached to the piston-rod 10 carrying the, piston 9 and a guide member 11. Leakage of scent through the slot in the bangle casing in which the knob 12 slides is prevented by a cover 14 attached to the piston-rod 10. The flexible connection 16 permits the nozzle 19 to be turned to engage undercut portions on it behind projections 22 on the opposite end of the bangle and so permit fastening. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which the bangle is made in two parts fastened together by means similar to those described and in which the bangle casing forms the scent reservoir. It is stated in the Provisional Specification that a compression spring may be placed between the guide member 11 and the-inner end of the reservoir to keep the piston in the inner end of the reservoir.
