Abstract

A method for edge-sealing of a plate material, in particular a plate material comprising an ordinarily non-moisture-resistant core or base material, the surfaces of which have been made moisture-resistant, for example by coverage with a moisture-resistant laminate. The method comprises providing the edge surfaces of said material with a circumferential layer of a curable resin composition, said resin composition being of a nature which shrinks during curing, and curing said layer of resin composition to form a peripheral coherent and fixed edge moulding.
