Abstract

203,120. Goodchild, G. W. Pepys-. July 6, 1922. Vapours, delivering.-A pipe-line 14 carried by tie-rods 13 from cables 12 extending between supports 1, 11, is fitted with nozzles and has gas for fumigating pumped along it from a gasholder on the central support 1 by a blower driven by a motor 7. The support 1 is in the form of a tower mounted on wheels 2 running on tracks 3 and is propelled by the motor 7. The side supports 11, which are inclined, are mounted on wheels that run on canted trucks and may carry motors for propulsion controlled from the tower 1. Intermediate supports may be arranged. The side supports, which can swing in the longitudinal direction of the pipeline are fitted with counterweights 15.
