Abstract

203,110. Roderick, E. C. June 30, 1922. Trap nests. - Mechanism for controlling the sliding door C of a trap nest consists of bent wires A, B hinged on the frame H at E and J, respectively. The wire A is bent to form an arc-shaped tongue F and its weight swings it into position to hold the door C open. When a hen enters the nest she releases the door bv pushing against the hanging wire B which engages the wire A. The wire B is made with a bend G which receives the door when the wire is turned up through 180‹, the docr and wire being thus locked in such positions as to leave the entrance open.
