Abstract

A sales pack comprises a suspension strip (8) having a suspension eye, the strip (8) receiving a closable box (1) on two opposite side walls (3) of which are provided a number of spaced lugs, the suspension strip (8), which has a cut-out corresponding to the box (1), being slid onto the box (1) and retained between the lugs. The other two walls (4, 5) of the box (1) may be formed with shoulders (6, 7) against which the strip (8) engages. One shoulder (6) may be formed as a cavity with spaced notches to enable the box (1) to be hung directly on screws correspondingly spaced on the wall. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Sales pack The invention relates to a sales pack with a suspension strip provided with a suspension eye and receiving a pouch-like or box-like container for goods. Sales packs of this kind are, for example, so called blister packs in which a containerforthe goods deep-drawn from a transparent sheet is secured with its open side on a strip of card or plastics. This strip, which generally has printing on it, has on one edge of it a slot by which the pack can be hung on a suitable hook from peg boards serving as sales surfaces. In these sales packs the suspension strip is torn or cut open to extract the goods.
Even when only some of the goods are removed, the pack remains open.
Also known are small cases or boxes with a closable lid portion, for use as sales packs, and which also can be used for subsequent storage of small components, for example nails or screws. At the points of sale such sales packs are stacKed up one above another or put up individually. It is also known to form suspension eyes on such sales packs made of piastics. However these sales packs, as a rule, lack an adequate surface for receiving printing or advertising material.
The aim of the invention lies in combining the known rigid sales boxes in a simple manner with the strip-like suspending devices.
To solve this problem according to the invention a sales pack of the kind stated in the introductory part above is characterised by a box which can be closed and opened, on which are provided on two opposite side walls a number of lugs, noses or the like, spaced apart from one another and between which the suspension strip, with a cut-out corresponding to the box, is retained after being slid on.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention on each of the two opposite walls of the box between two lugs lying in a common plane is provided a further lug at a different level, the difference in level being smaller than the thickness of the flexible suspension strip. On the two other walls of the box, in the plane of the lugs that are at the same level, there can be provided shoulders against which the strip engages.
By the measures proposed, a box-shaped sales pack with a cover can be combined in a simple manner with a suspension strip having an eye. With the cut-out portion corresponding to the base outline of the box, the strip is slid onto the box over the lateral lugs and held to an adequate extent between the lugs which are at different levels. The sales pack can be hung on appropriate supporting arms on peg boards.
In a further development of the invention it is proposed to construct one of the shoulders in the form of a downwardly open cavity, at least two downwardly open notches being provided in its outwardly directed chamber wall. After removal from the strip the box can accordingly be hung on two screws or nails mounted in a wall and engaging with their heads lying inside the cavity.
Further features and advantages of the invention are further described in conjunction with an embodiment by way of example. In the drawings: Figure lisa perspective view of a sales packwith a suspension strip indicated in broken lines, Figure 2 is a partial view looking in thedirection A in Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a view ofthe box looking in the direction B in Figure 1, Figure 4 is a partial section on the line l-l in Figure land Figure 5 is a view of a corresponding suspension strip.
The box made from plastics and indicated generally in Figure 1 by the reference 1,for receiving small components of various kinds, has at its open upper face a lid 2, held by a hinge 21, the lid having a grasping tab 22 at the opposite edge from the hinge.
On each of the side walls 3 of this box there are two lugs 32 lying in one plane and between them a lug 31 at a different level. A suspension strip 8, for example made of card or of plastics with a cut-out portion 81 corresponding to the base outline of the box 1, can be slid from below over the two lugs 32.
This flexible strip 8 is held between the lugs 31 and 32 so that the whole sales pack can be hung by the eye 82. The difference in level between the lug 31 and the lugs 32 is equal to or smaller than the thickness of the strip 8. The lugs 31 and 32 are rounded to facilitate the fitting of the strip onto the box.
Steps or shoulders 6 and 7 are formed on the two other walls 4 and 5 of the box in the plane of the lugs 32 at the same level. The box is held against the strip 8 by these two shoulders. The rearmost shoulder 6 is made downwardly open in the form of a cavity 62.
Formed in the outwardly directed wall 63 of the cavity 62 are two mutually parallel longitudinal notches 61 which form means for handing the box 1 on two screws or nails a corresponding distance apart on a wall or the like. Forthisto be achieved, the box 1, after removal from its strip 8, can be hung on the two screws from above.
