Abstract

416,587. Packing. VISUAL DISPLAY, Inc., 180, North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A. March 15, 1933, No. 7827. Convention date, March 15, 1932. [Class 94 (i).] Edible or other substances displayed in a container having a transparent wall are suspended in a transparent preservative medium which holds the samples in fixed position in the container. As shown, the samples 12 are suspended in gelatine 25 in a container 10 closed by a gelatine seal 13. The gelatine 25 may be mixed with the juice of the edible, the seal 13 may be coloured, and the whole may be protected by a paraffin or like seal, or by a cover 14. The cover 14 is flanged at 16 to bear against an apertured support 15 and the container is provided with lugs 21 which are passed through notches 19 and engaged behind the support. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 384,278.
