Abstract

In a two wire, sheathless telecommunications lead for mobile uses which is resistant to tension to high temperatures and to environmental influences, each wire (1, 2) consists of a central supporting element (3) made of high strength synthetic fibres e.g. a polyamide, a conductor (4) which is spun onto the supporting element (3) and is made of copper or aluminium wires, and an insulating covering (5) which consists of a fluorated synthetic resin, particularly an ethylene- tetrafluorethylene, or ethylene- trichlorofluoroethylene copolymer. The insulating covering may be a single extrusion (Fig. 2 not shown). <IMAGE>
