Abstract

A moulding press for moulding materials having a paste-like consistency, such as soap, comprises a plate (11) having sets of mould cavities (14) on at least one surface thereof and rotatable about an axis step by step in order to bring the mould cavities to a first station (A) where pressing means are provided for pressing material blanks (17) against the mould cavities, to a second station (B) where movable dies are provided for moulding the material in co-operation with the mould cavities in the rotatable plate, and to a third station (C) where means are provided for withdrawing the moulded material, wherein adjacent the mould cavities in the rotatable plate are provided through holes (15) in the rotatable plate, through which holes excess material is pushed during the actuation of the said pressing means and the movable dies. <IMAGE>
