Abstract

An integral feeder pattern comprising a gasifiable core (1) having a rigid, self-supporting casting shell (5) for mechanical moulding and a partition core (8) to aid separation of the feeder from the casting after completion of the casting process. A "pneumatic" core 3 is preferably provided, and the shell 5 may be of insulating or exothermic material. The pattern is retained in the mould after moulding. <IMAGE>
