Abstract

The invention provides a burner head so constructed that fluid can be passed through the head for the purpose of cooling the head. The head 1 is provided at its forward end with a chamber 10a associated with passages 14a and 14b through which a coolant, which may be fuel oil, may be led to and from the chamber 10a, without passing into the furnace chamber. <IMAGE>
