Abstract

A tar extraction device for incorporation in cigarettes or cigars and has a funnel shaped portion which is multi-planar for the extraction of tar from the smoke and possibly to promote a swirling motion to the smoke as it passes through an aperture or apertures at the base of the funnel. A spacing means, which forms part of the device, enables the device to be accurately located within the cigarette. <IMAGE>
