Abstract

An agitated thin-film evaporator comprising a rotor (2) which carries blades, is provided with droplet separator comprising at least one pair of annular plates (19, 22) which are substantially perpendicular to the axis (2a) of the rotor. The upper plate (22) has a radially outer edge which is bent out of the plane perpendicular to the axis of the rotor in a direction contrary to that followed by the vapor when the evaporator is in use. The plates are connected to radial fins (24). <IMAGE>
