Abstract

A key member 2 for closing slots 5 in armature laminations 1 of electrical machines comprises a flat slotted strip 7 with inclined lateral strips 8 along opposite edges for engaging a keyway 6 in the slots of the laminations, at least one of the lateral strips 8 having an outward convex curvature 9 along at least part of its length and a transverse slot 12 extending from a longitudinal slot 10 in the strip towards the convex lateral strips 8. <IMAGE>
