Abstract

A device for determining and remotely transmitting a fluid pressure, of the type comprising a resilient membrane (11) which is deformed by said fluid and is arranged to operate, by way of an amplifying mechanism, the slider (44) of a variable resistor (61) connected into the supply circuit of an indicating instrument is described. The main feature of said device is that said resistor (61) is of the thick film type, which supports increased contact pressure by the brush. Use of a graphite contact element 57 prevents it becoming oxidised if the device is not used for a certain period of time. The device is applied to measuring lubricating oil pressure in an internal combustion engine. <IMAGE>
