Abstract

A fluid distributor includes a rotor (5) located inside a chamber 1 of a housing (2) having a replaceable cover plate (3). The rotor and housing incorporate respectively fluid transfer ducts (17,23,24,25) and inlet and outlet apertures (16,20,21). The rotor (5) serves cyclically to connect inlets and outlets to each other via the transfer ducts and the chamber according to a cyclic pattern. The distributor is readily modifiable to enable changes to the layout of the fluid ducts and apertures. The rotor is motor driven via a gearbox (13) and a mechanical drive (11). The latter may be replaced by an electro-magnetic drive. A double rotor distributor is described, Figure 3 (not shown). <IMAGE>
