Abstract

A system for locating a moving object by means of OMEGA signals with two specific OMEGA frequencies, for example 10.2 and 13.6 kHz, wherein it comprises on board the moving object (6), a responder constituted by a receiving antenna for the OMEGA signals, a circuit (12) for matching to the impedance of the antenna and for preamplifying the signals, two lines in parallel for amplifying, filtering and clipping the signals, each line working on a specific OMEGA frequency, a telemetry transmitter (14) with a plurality of frequency multiplexed channels, two of these channels comprising respectively the two said OMEGA frequencies and being connected to the said two lines, and on the ground a telemetry receiver (16) followed by an OMEGA signal receiver (18). <IMAGE>
