Abstract

A device for limiting gas flow in a liquified gas lighter comprises a mass of compressible permeable material 2 held compressed between a cylinder 3 and an insert 1, which are fitted directly together, such as by soldering, crimping or force fitting, so that the parts 1, 3 are fixed against relative movement. Peripheral grooves 4 are provided on the insert to allow gas to flow through the device. The insert may take different forms and the device may be combined with means permitting adjustment of the gas flow rate below the maximum value set by the device. <IMAGE>
