Abstract
This invention relates to a pressure vessel which serves, for example, for damping pressure shocks or for storing energy in an hydraulic system. It consists of a closed housing 10, 11 which is filled with a gas under high pressure and in which there are a plurality of membranes 13 each of which consists of two circular sheets 13', 13'' which are welded together at their outer periphery and form a cavity 14 which is connected to a pressure medium supply pipe 17. Since all the parts of the pressure vessel are metallic, it is temperature resistant, has a relatively long life and requires no servicing. <IMAGE>
