Abstract

A feed device for maize forage harvesters includes at least two oppositely drivable rotary chains or belts 1,2 arranged next to each other in one plane, and a loop-shaped i.e. undulating elastic drive belt constructed from a plurality of pieces attached to each of said drive belts, the drive belts together forming a feed channel. The ends (9) of said loop pieces (8) overlap and have a through hole in the area of the overlap for receiving a fastener (11) provided to attach the loop pieces (8) to the chain or belt (1). The loop pieces (8) may be of injection moulded thermoplastic material. <IMAGE>
