Abstract

In a device for sealing a cable joint, two assemblies each consisting of profiled pieces 3a fixed to a connecting element 11 are arranged so that opposed flat faces of the pieces bear on out-turned edge sections 2 at each side of a slot in a heat-shrinkable envelope 1. These edge sections 2 have portions 8 that are folded back to enter slots 7 in the pieces 3a and a C-shaped clamping rail engages over the outer portions of the edge sections and curved parts of the pieces 3a. A seam having considerable flexibility is provided. <IMAGE>
