Abstract

An electric connector comprises an insulation piercing termination for stranded wire conductors 12, comprising contacts each with a terminal portion 28 in a respective cavity in an insulating block 14 and passages in the block to allow access for a crimp tool 42, 44 for effecting the crimped, insulation-piercing termination. The crimp tool is used to deform opposed sidewalls 38 of each terminal portion and pierce the insulation and secure the conductors in termination position. <IMAGE>
