Abstract

A portable power-tool (100) comprises a hydraulic rotary motor (104), a handle sub-assembly (103) and a valve sub-assembly (112) with a block (111). The motor (104) has a driving shaft (105) which passes through a seal (106) subject to the exhaust pressure. The sub-assembly (112) includes an ON/OFF valve (113) and a flow-control means (114). A trigger control-member (117) operates the valve (113). The flow-control means (114) comprises a throttling valve-member (137). Exhaust pressure in a chamber (129) in the block (111) acts on the valve member (137) against a spring (139) to position the member (137) according to the exhaust pressure and thus throttle the input flow to the motor (104) so as to ensure that the exhaust pressure acting on the seal (106) does not become excessive. <IMAGE>
