Seats and faces.-Renewable seatings and facings of the type wherein the renewable parts are secured by screwed rings, are formed with inclined surfaces such as b", Fig. 1, or ca. Fig. 3, co-operating with similar surfaces on the retaining rings c<3>, Fig. 1, or b, Fig. 3. The retaining rings are formed with suitable notches or projections for the reception of tools for inserting and removing them from the valve casings.
