Abstract

An earth leakage protection device comprises a differential current transformer 1 and a band-pass active filter F which receives the output of the transformer and supplies a signal having a substantially sinusoidal form despite distortion of the transformer output caused by the superposition of direct current components on the primary fault currents. <IMAGE>
