Abstract

A fixing device in which a liquid toner developed image-bearing member P is moved in contact with a hot plate 23 to thereby fix the toner image borne by the member P. A recess 25 is provided across a portion of the hot plate 23 and a rotatable member e.g. a roller 26 is disposed along the recess 25. Hairs 28 are planted on the peripheral surface of the rotatable member. The rotatable member may comprise a plurality of rollers 27 disposed in the fashion of comb teeth in the direction of the rotational axis thereof. Thereby, the vapor evaporated from the image- bearing member is immediately eliminated from the vicinity of the rotatable member. <IMAGE>
