Abstract

An index tab has a head (2) and a foot (1) which includes three spaced webs (3, 4, 5) defining file-edge- receiving cavities (8, 9) therebetween, the cavities (8, 9) being of different transverse dimensions to correspond respectively with the thickness of a supported edge (11, 12) and a non- supported edge (13) of a file, the webs (3, 4, 5) being mutually inclined such that the remote edges (24, 14, 19) (or the relevant one thereof) bear resiliently on the surface of a file (10) to which the tab is applied at a position spaced from the relevant edge of such file. <IMAGE>
