Abstract

An animal trap or container has a body (1) provided by a clear plastics moulding with a closed cage section (17) and an entrance section (16) between sloping side walls. A flap (8) hinged at the top (9) and separating the sections (16, 17) provides an entrance door for the cage section (17) and is inwardly inclined so that it can only be opened in the inward entrance direction. The flap (8) has an internal ledge (10) along its bottom edge, and this ledge (10) which closely engages a flat floor surface (15) prevents a trapped animal opening the flap (8) with its teeth or claws. Vent holes (19, 21) with thickened rims (20, 22) are provided in the wall of the cage section (17) and the flap (8). <IMAGE>
