Abstract

A viewfinder system for a single- lens reflex camera is provided having a pentahedral roof prism and an optical system for reflecting-in the f-number. The optical system consists of a single-reflecting part and a triple- reflecting part. A mirror 5 serves as a single reflecting part which is arranged completely behind and above the foremost edge of the pentahedral room prism. A secondary prism serves as the triple reflecting part and is arranged substantially behind and below the pentahedral roof prism. In this way the image of the f- number from the lens diaphragm ring is reflected into the optical path so as to be viewed simultaneously with the view finder image. <IMAGE>
