Abstract

In a valve (1) for controlling the pressure of fuel fed to the fuel injectors of an internal combustion engine with an improved functional accuracy and a reduced margin error, the projecting mouth (9a) of the means (9) for venting excess fuel from a second chamber (5) of the valve (1) has an external diameter of 13 millimetres and an internal diameter of 10 millimetres and a spring (11) which urges a valve shutter (10) to close the mouth (9a) has a resilience of 3 millimetres per kilogram. <IMAGE>
