Abstract

A heat-mouldable composition constituted by a mixture of (a) 30 to 60%, based on the total weight of the composition, of thermoplastic polymeric material selected from polybutylene terephthalate and poly(1,4,cyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate); and (b) a pulverulent filler forming the rest of the composition and containing, based on the total weight of filler, at least 80% of mineral of mean particle size from 0.5 to 15 microns and at least 30% of pulverulent calcium carbonate of mean particle size from 0.5 to 5 microns. The composition can be injection-moulded to form a smooth- surfaced and stable reflector for a lighting projector, e.g. a vehicle headlight, a reflecting layer being depositable directly onto the surface of the wall without the application of an intervening coating of varnish.
