Abstract

A cooling air intake structure for a motor vehicle, especially a combine harvester, comprises a housing fitted over the intake side of a radiator 4 and formed by rectangular panels including perforated screen panels 12, 14, 16 at the sides and front. In order to prevent clogging by debris such as chaff, each such panel is covered by a cover panel 22, 26, 24 at a spacing (e.g. 40 mm) such that sufficient space exists for air inflow around the cover panel edges without excessive pressure drop. Debris tends to drop out in the spaces between the panels. <IMAGE>
