Abstract
In order to reduce the axial length of the brake unit, the brake caliper (15) has two lugs (20, 21) arranged between the guide lugs (11, 12, 13, 14) of the brake shoes (9, 10). The lugs engage guide pins (5, 6) for the brake shoes (9, 10) radially from the outside, and are preferably constructed as half shells engaging one side of each pin. <IMAGE>
