Abstract

A coupling device, for example a metal junction box for electrical conduits, comprise a pair of metal pressings 3, 4 each including a part of the tubular projection 1, 2. The pressing 3, 4 are placed in superimposed relationship and are welded together at their mating edges, and one of the said parts of the tubular projection 1, 2 is provided in one surface with a recess 7 in which is mounted a blade 9. The blade 9 has a body part 10 which does not project from the said one surface and is provided at one end with a contiguous locking part 13 which projects from the said one surface and terminates in an edge 14 which is inclined at an acute angle to a transverse plane normal to the axis of the projection 1, 2. The edge 14 is engageable with an adjacent corresponding surface of a circular member which is received within, or in which the projection 1, 2 is received, to prevent removal of the circular member from the projection except by a relative screwing motion between the projection 1, 2 and the circular member. <IMAGE>
