Abstract

Corner mounting strip assemblies for interconnecting two or more wall or ceiling panels 21, 22, 23 in the form of slabs comprises an internal channel member 25 with lateral flanges 26 and 27 which bear against marginal portions of panels 21 and 23 and are spot-welded to a plate 28. Corner filler sections 24 bear against the other marginal portions of panels 21 and 23 and against opposite marginal portions of panel 22. The corner sections 24 are secured to the internal channel member 25 by screws 14 engaged in screw- threaded bushes 13 fixed in the latter. An air space G is thus enclosed to reduce heat transfer through the corner joint. The corner filler sections may comprise a galvanised steel sheet base plate around which is wrapped a plastics-coated steel sheet. A four-way junction can be made similarly, by employing a central elongate member of octagonal section. <IMAGE>
