Abstract

Static mixing apparatus comprises a plurality of mixing elements, the first of the elements having fluid injection means incorporated therein for dispensing fluid about the entire surface of the first mixing element. The fluid injector consists of a pipe (7) connected to the first mixing element (4) with orifices (7a to 7f) angularly positioned on each side of the pipe corresponding to the top and bottom sides of the mixing element (4), such that fluid injected into the pipe (7) will be released out of the pipe and will contact material or liquid contained on both sides of the mixing element (4). <IMAGE>
