Abstract

A kite comprises sheeting 10 spread by a longitudinal spar 11 and a lateral spar, and an elongated flexible tubular tail 25 for attachment to the longitudinal spar. The longitudinal spar 11 has secured thereto a tail attachment element 30 formed from plastics tubing and comprising a portion 32 embracing the longitudinal spar 11 and a portion 33 projecting freely away from the longitudinal spar at an acute angle. The tubular tail 25 is formed with a hole which is fitted over the projecting portion 33 to connect the tail to the longitudinal spar. <IMAGE>
