Abstract
A nozzle, intended for use in a Uranium isotope separation plant, including means and/or devices for reducing or reversing the heat transfer to the gas flowing through the nozzle. A method is also provided, in which the heat transfer to the gas flowing through a nozzle is reduced or reversed. The nozzle body may comprise a material of poor heat conductivity and/or structurally formed so as to reduce heat conductivity, e.g. of decreasing wall thickness, or having hollow chambers through which a coolant may pass.
