Brushes combined with pads; reservoir pads; pads and like rubbing appliances. - A scrubber comprises a facing of thick blanket or crepe rubber and a backing of a different grade of rubber. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, a layer s of thick blanket rubber is united to a backing b of smoked sheet, to which is attached a wooden handle c covered with smoked sheet d. The ends of the scrubber are pointed to facilitate cleaning corners. In other forms of scrubber a fabric retaining-band or a guard for the fingers is provided. In the construction shown in Fig. 7, tufts of bristles are placed between a backing b<1> of compounded rubber and a facing a<1> of blanket rubber. In another form of scrubber a rubber soap-enclosing envelope is provided on the backing as shown in Fig. 8, the cover h being formed of perforated crepe rubber for use as an additional scrubbing surface.
