Abstract

A screening deck comprises a rectangular frame lengthwise of the opening of which extend a series of spaced wires 16 which are parallel to one another and to the side members 9 of the frame. A wrest block (not shown) is incorporated into each hollow end member of the frame to enable the deck to be longitudinally reversed in use so that either end member could be the upper one when the deck is inclined. The wires are individually tensionable by being attached to wrest pins in threaded engagement with the wrest blocks. The wires are supported over their working area intermediate the end members of the frame by a series of spaced transverse supports 15 which are removably mounted on the frame. Alternatively, opposite ends of the wires are secured in clampable members mountable one at each end member of the frame, all the wires being tensioned simultaneously as one clampable member is moved in its mounting away from the other clampable member which is stationary in its mountings. <IMAGE>
