Abstract

A straw-laying implement comprises a trailer for attachment to a tractor. The trailer mounts a chute (30) for loading straw bales and directing them towards a rotary toothed drum (18) which, with the aid of tined feeder rotors (20, 22) removes the straw in strand-like form from the bale and discharges it on to the ground. The implement is designed so as to eliminate discharge of any large clumps of straw and to minimise handwork subsequent to laying of the straw. <IMAGE>
