Abstract

A polyhedral permanent magnet 4 has one face 2 polarized as an N- or S- pole and all the other faces 3 polarized as S- or N-poles. For magnetizing the magnetic material in this manner, a magnetic field is applied with lines of force 6 extending to the one face 2 from the other faces 3, in a cavity of shape conforming to the body of magnetic material. <IMAGE>
