Abstract

The present invention relates to improvements in the cupola of an armoured vehicle, particularly a close defence cupola of a light armoured vehicle also used for carrying personnel. The cupola 1 comprises a leaktight partition which is at least in part made of a flexible impermeable material 15 dividing the cupola into a zone 20 containing the rear part of the weapon 6 which is mounted on the cupola, and a zone 21 occupied by the gunner 9. The material 15 of the partition is generally planar with a pocket 24 projecting towards the gunners zone in which the rear end portion 23 of the weapon 6 moves, and has an openable part 27 connected to the remainder of the partition by a leaktight zip fastener 28. <IMAGE>
