Abstract

The invention relates to a method of inserting a folded parachute (9) into a tubular container (13). The method comprises the steps of forming an auxiliary packing (1) within a transport tube, said transport tube having substantially the same internal diameter as said container (13); and inserting said folded parachute (9) into said auxiliary packing (1). Thereafter the transport tube is positioned coaxially with and at an open end of said container (13), and the auxiliary packing (1), together with said folded parachute (9), is pushed out of said transport tube and into said container (13). <IMAGE>
