Abstract

A sliding-vane suitable for an oil and water mixture comprises a casing and a solid cylindrical rotor comprising an axial shaft supported on bearings, the rotor being mounted eccentrically with respect to the casing and fitted with radially sliding vanes which contact the peripheral wall of the casing, and the length of the rotor being greater than its diameter. The vanes are guided by a ring which is co-axial with the said wall.
