Abstract

Compounds having the formula <IMAGE> wherein R1 is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or nitro; R2 is hydrogen, halogen or lower alkoxy, with the proviso if R2 is other than hydrogen, R1 and R2 are the same; and A is -Q-COOR1, wherein Q is lower alkylene or cyclo-lower alkyl and R is hydrogen or lower alkyl, or A is -(CH2)n-R3 wherein R3 is imidazol- 4-yl or indol-3-yl optionally substituted in the carboxylic ring thereof by halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or nitro, and n is 1, 2, 3, or 4 may be used as anti-inflammatory agents.
