Abstract

A device for assisting the movement of a limb comprises a double-angle ramp (1) which is supported on legs (e.g. 4) and enables a person sitting on say the edge of a bed to move their leg in an arc across the ramp surface and on to the bed. The ramp includes adjustable legs (4, 5) and may have a geometry allowing its height at its highest corner (9) to be varied while keeping one edge (9, 6) adjacent the bed. A number of slats 10 are provided on the ramp surface radially with respect to the arc described by the moved limb, to prevent slipping of the limb. <IMAGE>
