Abstract
201,315. James, Ltd., W. & H. H., and James, W. May 20, 1922. Tongs for coal, &c. are formed with arcuate gripping-members integral with the limbs, which a.re preferably formed of strip metal, the gripping-members being formed by partially severing tongues as 7, Fig. 4, and 10, Fig. 1, and bending them out of the plane of the main portion 1 to a substantially arcuate form. Each half of the tongs may be formed wholly from a single strip of metal, as shown in Fig. 1, or in the case of tongs with spring end connections the whole may be formed from one strip of metal.
