Abstract
Pure dimethyl hydrogen chlorosilane is obtained from a mixture distilling at a temperature of from 33 to 37 DEG C., from the direct synthesis of methyl chlorosilanes, by separating off impurities which otherwise cannot be removed by distillation, by adding hexachloroplatinic acid to the mixture, followed by fractional distillation.
